I was first introduced to Morris' Peach Salsa when Robbie and I started dating, and let me tell you, it is DELICIOUS! I never would have thought of the idea of "peach salsa," but it is pretty much too good to be true. I have always been a fan of peaches and I always thought that Morris' had the best ones (my grandpa even thinks so, meaning they must be pretty dag on good)! Naturally, we stop and get salsa on the way to the beach and then on the way home, we stop and stock up as well!
While Robbie and I were wandering around, I noticed the wine stand. They had muscadine, blackberry, strawberry, apple, and peach wine. I am sure they had more, but I saw the peach and thought I was in wine heaven. I am one who loves a good red wine and I am not a fan of the sweet stuff. The lady was saying how the peach wine that I was looking at was more "dry." She gave me a sample and if that is what she considers dry, I can't even imagine what she considers sweet. I could not buy the wine fast enough. Needless to say, it is still sitting in the cabinet waiting for a special occasion. The other reason I fell in love with the wine was because of the pretty label. I have to admit, I do judge physical books by their cover and I just happen to fall for wine that comes in a pretty bottle! Considering I'm a farm girl and I pretty much bleed John Deere green and yellow, the fact that there was a John Deere tractor on the label meant I HAD to have it.
Another peach recipe that I find rather interesting is "Peach Bread." I know I have posted Nutella Muffins using a Mother Thyme recipe. Today, I read about a new recipe she posted and I can't wait to try it. Drumroll please..... Peach Bread! Of course, I'll have to modify the recipe a little to make it gluten free but I cannot wait to try it. I am taking advantage of peaches being in season!
